Hi guys,
I got a really weird one. I'm doing a build on the same build machine, testing it on the same deployment machine, same user account, and the same project... one build from IDE, the other with MIABUILD tool.
One from IDE works fine, but one from MIABUILD kept saying file missing when installing .NET Framework 3.0. The message is:
Error 1308.Source file not found: C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Application Data\\{277B4FBD-EA55-4AC3-ADD4-AD9ECFD5C385}\\Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0\\mFileBagIDE.dll\\bag\\wcf_x86\\Win\\Microsoft.NET\\Framework\\v3.0\\WCF\\_ServiceModelEndpointPerfCounters.h. Verify that the file exists and that you can accesit.
As I've said, both try were using the same user account, so shouldn't be a user rights issue. I've tried putting the InstallAware program files into PATH, still didn't help.
Any idea?
Thanks!
William

Hi,
I found out why the build fails with my installation, seems to be a bug in InstallAware 6.6 and 7.
When the directory path size of the build destination is longer then Windows allows, the file affected are just dismissed without being copy. The exception from the file copy was ignored without warning.
If someone could add this to the list, thanks!
