Add item to file context menu in Windows Explorer

Postby joltman » Sun Sep 30, 2007 2:07 pm

Our application needs to add it self to the windows file context menu, i.e the menu that shows when a user right clicks a file or a folder in Windows Explorer. We know how perform this task programaticly using .net but is there perhaps a way to do this with InstallAware?

Best Regards.

Create an .exe that is called during installation with Run Program. This .exe will only contain the functionallity of adding your application to the context menu.

Otherwise, you can find what registry keys are changed, and add them to InstallAware.
