Hi,
Could someone please explain to me the consequences of removing the part of the standard WIN32 template setup script which does the full uninstall before a re-install. So far I have only been told by InstallAware support people that this should never be done and then would be lots of unintended consequences. I believe this to be true and that is why I'm really reluctant to remove it and send our developers and testers on a wild goose chase however I'm under pressure from our management staff to 'just remove it' because of its impact on performance (I know that I should be using patching but although our patching now works smoothly it has not resolved the performance issue, a patch install is still just as slow), and I really need something concrete to come back to them with as to why it's not desirable,
Thanks.
