I will be updating data files about every month (not the program files themselves), and want to point the updater to a simple file copy application that would go out to my file server and then overwrite files in a specific folder on the client.
I don't want to use the Patch function because there won't be any changes to the application itself, only files stored in 2 folders on the clients. Also, there will be different data changes for different clients, and the time to run the patch function against all the different configurations would be too long. The copy application will be dynamic depending on the client location.
Even if the data copy is handled as a different installation from the application, that would be OK, I just need the updater to point to it. I've been trying to get the updater to work and so far have not been successful. Is there an example with a step by step on a simple update process for an application?
Thanks for your help!

Found my answers in the \"installaware_web_updates\" doc
Thanks for the great documentation! Whoda thunk it? Reading... not just for school
