Is there support for including Crystal XI in an installation? I see there is support for the built-in Crystal in .Net, but this is the full Crystal, used outside of .Net.
thanks,

It is not built into IA. You would need to check for its precense manually and in case it needs to be installed, you would need to run its installer with the "Run Program" command.

It's the Runtime, not the Installer
Hi, I'm talking about the runtime install, not the entire Crystal XI installer. Does IA handle this (I already have the product; so this is not a presales question), or will it?

IA contains "Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 2.0" as Application Runtime. If you include it in your setup, it will check whether it is installed or not, if not, it will install automatically.

Crystal XI Runtime, not the Crystal .Net Runtime
Hi there,
yes, we agree that IA handles the Crystal for .Net runtime.
My question is whether it handles, or will handle, the Crystal XI runtime (which I believe is a superset of the Crystal for .Net runtime).
thanks,

CRystal reports XI R2 Merge Module hangs IA7
jimo wrote:Hank,
You have to manually include the msm files provided with Crystal.
Just add them to merge modules in the IDE.
When I try to "manually" add the "CrystalReports11_5_NET_2005.msm" merge module to IA7, IA aborts without error messages instad of completing the 'single file' build process.
How do I fix this? Is it because it is too big (80mb)? Other smaller modules can be merged ok.. (I am using Visual Studio 2005 on Vista, and the default runtime for Crystal Reports for .NET 2 does not work for me)
As a result, my app only runs on the Vista system it was developed (because that one has the orrect merge module for CR XI R2 I used with Visual Studio)
Please provide precise instructions...
thanks
