I have tried to use the multi-lingual sample with installaware express to create a multi-lingual setup, but the setup messages are all still in english and when I try to add an application runtime I get an error message stating that application runtimes for this script cannot be added visually.
In other words the express version sucks more than the free installer which comes with Visual Studio. It has absolutely no advantage over it, just the skins. But the Visual Studio Installer has setup messages already translated in other languages, which makes it very easy to create setups in other languages. I need just French, Englsih and German language which are very common.
When I modify a project then I want to exit from installaware I am asked to save the project and if I choose to save it then I get an error message stating that it cannot save the project, but I don't know the reason, as the file->save command works.
I have ordered the express version because I tought that I could make setups easier and better looking, but I ended up asking for help in forums, this is a waste of time. I think I will ask my money back, as you can't do almost anything with the express version, it's worse than a trial software
Big problems with the express version of installaware.

The Multi-Lingual example shows how to change setup languages at runtime using the setup script. It is a scripting example and not intended to be used with Express, since Express lacks scripting.
If you want to localize your setup into multiple languages, please run the Localization Wizard in an Express project. Then you will be able to create multi-lingual setups, for more details on the process please read the help.
The Express IDE had a bug which creates the problem you describe below - this has already been resolved. Simply regenerate and reinstall your license to get rid of the save problem.
If you are unsatisfied we are happy to refund your purchase for you, please contact our sales department to immediately arrange your refund.

If scripts cannot be used in the express version I don't know why do you include them in the express installation and in the new project menu, this is just confusing and frustrating that you cannot use all the features of the software. You force the express users to buy the more expensive version, in fact the express is like a trial.
In the localization wizard you need to translate manually al the messages, even visual studio installer comes with German and French language translated, not to mention installshield
