Output FileName for patches with Installaware 7 R2

Hello,
I'm beginning to use InstallAware express R2 (included in RAD STUDIO XE Pro) under Windows 7 Pro .
I have many difficulties to configure my patches and to understand how it works : i try to follow steps described in the white paper for doing patches : all seems to be good it seems to run but in this document, output filename set to patch project is the same as this used in the original project ; i have tried to do that with my own l project and .... this is ok .... BUT when i try to modify output filename for the patch , patching fails : it seems that i have to get the name for the original project and the "patch" project .... this is very strange no? because if i upload to my server differents patchess i have to get differents name ....

Second step in my difficulties : i don't understand why i don't get number of my version in my control panel/installed programm informations : So i don't know if patches modify this number ? if yes how patching do that : automatically increasing this number or does it use the version number i sould have set in my "patching project"
