registry put the entry under the wrong path

Postby nofarr » Mon Aug 08, 2011 8:03 am

Hi,

i'm using installaware 11
i did export from registry in one machine (64bit) and did import in the installaware to the registry
i see the entry in the installaware under the path
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->ODBC->ECSDB
but after installing the package on other machine the entry appears under WOW6432Node

i couldn't understand what cause this
i config the setup to be 64 bit
do i need to config something else?

thanks :)

Hi,

In order for your registry value to not be written to that node on a 64 bit machine, you would have to call Set 64 Bit Mode command and select x64.

When you say "i config the setup to be 64 bit", what exactly did you do?

hi,

i solved the problem :)
i added after the write to registry option the set x64 option

i thought it's enough to set it on the begining but it's not.

thanks any way :)
