Deploy msi file for all users

Hi all,

Using IA 12.

We currently deploy an msi file as a single file which is compiled using the the Group Policy Wizard (The main reason for doing this is related to restrictions installing executables). So essentially we want the MSI to have exact features as exe. Our current issue is that the msi is not available for all users on the machine. ie its available for the user account installing but not for another that logs on, a seperate installation is required. Is it possible to deploy an msi for all users on a machine, if yes any assistance on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

It quite possibly is, however as explained in the post we have issues deploying executable files to our clients. Can you advise any work around for this?

Hey- it should be a Group Policy setting in the Active Directory/deployment console. This is the same for all MSI's and not InstallAware specific, really. There is a setting there to assign/publish an MSI per machine or for all users; Microsoft documentation should reveal this.
