Hi, I am using InstallAware's free edition inside VS 2012.
While installing I excluded all the .Net and CrystalReports assemblies because my target environments have all the required (prerequisite) assemblies and runtimes already installed.
Now, I cannot build/create msi because of missing assemblies. The list of dependent assemblies shown on "setup Properties" Assemblies page is read-only, I cannot remove or de-select them.
How should I resolve this issue? I am missing something?
Thanks
R

Re: InstallAware Exclude Assemblies
Dear User,
Running the installation package directly once again, you should be able to reinstall those packages with maintenance mode Add/Remove feature.
Regards.

Re: InstallAware Exclude Assemblies
Thanks FrancescoT for extremely quick reply,
As I mentioned, I really do not want these assemblies to be included in my msi because all the target PCs already have these installed.
I can reinstall InstallAware but is there any way I can exclude them from msi build?
Thanks,
R

Dear User,
Unfortunately, you can't control the project generation and its scripts inclusion, with that InstallAware edition.

Re: InstallAware Exclude Assemblies
Thanks again Francesco,
I'll buy the least featured (not Studio Admin) version which can accomplish this task.
Please let me know which version that would be.
Thanks in advance,
R

Re: InstallAware Exclude Assemblies
Dear User,
I suppose at least InstallAware "Developer" edition.
Please also verify using the comparison chart below, if the above edition comes with any other features that you may need.
