Hello there,
I have set up web updates for my application where the updates are downloaded from an IIS webserver setup on the local network. Now everything works fine when the webserver is configured for anonymous authentication i.e. user isn't asked for username and password. But when I change this setting to a basic authentication, the update service doesn't work and asks to check if internet is working. I am able to download the ini file and the exe using the browser after entering username and password in Chrome.
Would you be able to guide me the right direction here?
Thanks,
Viren

Thanks for your reply Francesco. I have read the post but I am not sure how this Wget app fits in with InstallAware. Also, can you please expand on the crypting and decryting of files.

Dear User,
I was refering to the first part only of that topic discussion (it is disabled by default by the OS due security reasons).
Regarding the "Wget network utility", this is an open source library that could be used to develop a specialized plugin.
Honestly, I don't know if the Wget library is capable to skip the authentication restrictions.
