I migrated a successful project from IA15 to IA16 using Unicode Upgrade Tool, but now the project has access violation problem in Display Dialog. When I run the project in CD/DVD option it fail when try to show the readme dialog, when I run from a single file it shows the readme dialog but fail in progress dialog and when I run the project from the debugger it executes successfuly.
I trying to solve the problem changing readme an progress dialogs to the original dialogs (from the InstallAware 16 folder) but it has the same problems: access violation at address 00403861 in module 'Install.exe'. Write of address 00000000 in readme dialog and ... address 00403499... in progress dialog.
The project use almost original Attractive Dialogs (but it use variables like $Installing$ instead of text Installing because it's a multi language installer, the problems are the same independent of the language). I'm using Window 7.
TIA
Ricardo

Re: Acces violation in Display Dialog
Dear Ricardo,
could you please post a very minimal project that replicates your issue?
Just a question, if you try to use a different dialog theme as can be the "Official" theme, what happens?

Re: Acces violation in Display Dialog
Francesco,
I try changing all dialos to the Official, commenting all instructions "install files" and the problem persists. If I change the behavior of the readme dialog from RedMe File to <none> it solve the problem whith that dialog but not with progress dialog.
But, it seems, the problem it's in my machine, because I test the installer in other virtual and real machines without problems. I will try to test with other machines to see if I find what could be the reason for the problem.
thanks
Ricardo
