I have just re-built a project after upgrading to InstallAware X2 and I get an error saying "No files matching wildcard pattern c:\.....\netfx_core_x86\*.*
If you are trying to build application runtimes, run InstallAware setup again, and add all optional features.
I did this the first time and have done so again but I still get the same error. Is it looking at the old runtime path? How can I easily fix this is I have several projects to update. Thanks, Adrian.

Re: Unable to find runtime after X2 upgrade
I tried those steps, downloaded the mFileBag and replaced it, and even redownloaded the entire setup again with no luck.
Even starting a BRAND NEW .NET setup results in the same error.

Re: Unable to find runtime after X2 upgrade
I too am getting the same problem. Replaced the DLL and .NET 4.5 is nowhere to be found in the list of runtimes. 4.5.2 is there, but not 4.5.0

Re: Unable to find runtime after X2 upgrade
Dear Users,
it's not necessary to use the "mFileBag" file available with the post, currently you only need to upgrade to the latest IA version (19.01).
NOTE! You need to re-generate your personal activation file to activate the product.
For what concerns the Runtime error, you only need to follow the steps below (supposing you installed all IA features);
Make a backup of your entire project folder before to proceed!
1- Open the project and remove any used Application Runtime from the project (Design View in the IDE).
2- Remove any Runtime script eventually left (that refers to the used Application runtimes) in the "Include Scripts" node (left tree pane of the MSI code view in IA IDE)
3- Manually check that any "include script" entry (that refers to the removed Application Runtimes) has not been left in your main script.
4- Finally, re-add the required Application Runtimes, save and build the project.

Re: Unable to find runtime after X2 upgrade
I downloaded the latest and it still does not work. .NET Framework 4.5 is not in the list and when I build my project I get the error
"No files matching wildcard pattern
C:\PROGRA~2\INSTAL~2\runtimes\netfx_core_x64\*.*"

Re: Unable to find runtime after X2 upgrade
Could you please send me a project (even a minimal one) that replicates the issue?

I sent you an e-mail with the project files zipped up.
Thanks

Re: Unable to find runtime after X2 upgrade
I'm able to replicate the issue by simply starting a new InstallAware project, and selecting .NET setup. Attempt to build web and I get the error.

Re: Unable to find runtime after X2 upgrade
Dear Rev23dev,
did you installed all IA features?
did you use the latest X2 version available (19.01)?
did you use a re-generated license file to activate the product?
If the problem persist, please contact me at; support@installaware.com
