Previously, I had X3 installed on 8.1 and yesterday, I upgraded to Win 10. I rebuilt my package but when I install it it barfs that it can't create a file called ..Local\Temp\mia1\installaware.png. It then pops up a message "Setup resource decompression failure." Thinking that Win10 screwed things up I tried to uninstall X3 but I get the exact same errors.
I took a look in the Temp folder and there is "mia1" but it's a file, not a folder. I deleted it and everything seems to be working okay now. If anyone hits a similar error, delete the file of the same name. I don't know if Win10 changed it from a folder to a file or whether there's a "gotcha" in X3.
