Bitmap size in Windows 10

Postby AlejandroNehring » Mon Nov 30, 2015 9:21 am

Hi, I use own bitmaps as background for installer.
In WIndows 7 the dialog looks ok.
In WINDOWS 10 it looks as if it had the wrong size (see attachment)
In both operrating systems I started the same setup.exe

I have Just included your bitmap in a simple project (...without having your project files) and I don't see any problem on Win 10.

Only for your information:

If I delete the bitmap and re-incluzde it in the dialog, all is fine.
So I have a time consuming solution (re-include all bitmaps in all dialogs) for this issue and it is solved.

But this fits to a lot of incompatibility issues i found If newer versions of IA handle scripts created with oplder versions

Dear Alejandro,

I continue to use projects where the Bitmaps was originally added in IA 9 and honestly, I never had any compatibility issues using the same projects with the most recent versions of IA.

That said, it's probably possible that your problem has different reason and this may be not related to InstallAware.
