Create Folder Not Working

Postby skibbs » Wed Jun 21, 2006 6:04 pm

I am trying to create a folder at C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft ActiveSync\\CompanyName\\ and I can't seem to get it working with the built in Create Folder command. I can manually create one with mkdir... but not with IA.

I am reading the "C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft ActiveSync" value out of the registry, then appending a slash and our company name to the end. I use this with the Create Folder command and it doesn't error out or anything, the folder just is not created.

I've attached a log that I have generated of an installation attempt.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Nevermind, I had to place the command above Apply Install

The K-Jam is great, isn't it :D

I will send you a copy of my mobile device InstallAware script and related files once I finish in the next week or so. Deploying to mobile devices has been interesting and challenging, we are trying a new approach using IA and custom code to improve the user installation experience for this point release.

Thanks for all the help! We are big IA fans as well

I cannot imagine going anywhere without my K-Jam :D

If you like, I can post your script, after making it into a generic template, into the Sample Scripts section of this forum - so other users can benefit from your work as well. If you cannot give us permission to do this - not a problem!
