/s massive slowdown after X17 upgrade

I upgraded from X15 to X17 (1.5.2025)

Now silent installs are taking a very long time and also using 100% CPU and also creating 100's of processes.

Silent install of same setup created using X15 = 81 seconds
Silent install of same setup created using X17 = 563 seconds
also over 500 processes are created while running the setup created by X17 (see screen capture)

If run without the /s switch installation time is normal.

What could be causing this issue?

Definitely not an expected occurrence to have more than one process (save 500!) launching!



My recommendation would be to escalate this to official support, so they may respond on the basis of your entitlement.
