Capture Previous Version Target Directory

I have an application that will install to a new default directory with the next version. I would like to copy the user database from the old location to the new location. Is there a way to determine where the previous version of the application was installed to?

You can read this from the registry (if you recorded it there), use Find All Files, etc.
