The windows task scheduler (scheduled task) trys to run
"InstallAware 6 Updates for All Users.lnk" /update
This shortcut and in fact this folder does not exist on my system.
What is this missing shortcut really configured to run?
More importantly how can I get the product updates?

Hi Dan,
This shortcut starts the InstallAware setup in update mode, so it downloads updates from the web. We are not aware of any issues with its creation on Vista (updates are scheduled and run fine on Vista). So I am not sure why you are experiencing this problem. If you edited your update script and took out the lines that create the shortcut, that might explain it.
I would also make sure that I am running the latest version (6.13).
