Is there an Always Overwrite option in InstallAware?

Got a problem you cannot solve? Try here.

On a scale of 1 (bad) to 5 (GREAT!), how would you rate InstallAware vs other authoring tools?

Is there an Always Overwrite option in InstallAware?

Postby Superfreak3 » Fri Feb 09, 2007 4:56 pm

I know other authoring tools have an option or attribute that can be set on a file that sets the Version to 65535.0.0.0 in the .msi's File table, thus ensuring an overwrite. Is this available in InstallAware?

This is handy for us because there may be some files placed in the field for support reasons. To ensure files are overwritten on update/upgrade, we would like to leverage this.

Let me know!

Thanks!! :P
