Total Required Space always 0 when using translations

Postby casic » Wed Mar 21, 2007 10:23 pm

Hi there,

The displayed Total Required Space is always 0 if I use components and translations (German in my case). If I use no components all works fine. If I use components and select English at the language selection, also everything works fine. The installation of selected components works perfect, so I think this is no translation issue - or I'm wrong?

Thank you,

Some additional information:

The problem only exist if the name of a component is translated. If the name is not translated, the Total Required Space displays the correct value.

Hi there,

I tried to use German component names now (so there is no translation necessary), but unfortunately I found the next problem: If the name of a component contains German special characters (e.g. ä ü ö ...), the required space of this component will not be taken into account. If the name of a parent component contains a German special character, all sub-components also will not be taken into account. In my case, I have named a component "Rechtschreibprüfung". If I use "Rechtschreibpruefung" instead of "Rechtschreibprüfung", all works as expected.

Hope this helps to solve this issue,

Thank you,

Markus

Hi Markus,

Can you email me some minimum projects which illustrate this issue?
