Apparently there is meant to be a 'Processor Architecture' flag for the 'Get System Settings' function which returns the exact processor architecture.
This can then be used to set the 'Set 64 bit mode' property properly.
Unfortunately, despite downloading the latest version this morning and scratching my head for quite some time.. the 'Processor Architecture' function is not listed when you are inserting a 'Get system settings' entry into the MSI code.
Please help! very urgent and driving me batty.
Now Urgent, please help - Detecting Processor Architecture
Thanks for the reply.
I have now found a way round this.
HKLM\\System\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\Session Manager\\Environment\\PROCESSOR_IDENTIFIER
This key contains the relevent information as to the exact processor type.
The "Windows in 64 bit Mode" property just indicates weither Windows is in 64bit mode or not, it doesnt give you the processor archetecture which is needed to use the 'Set 64 bit' function.
Thanks anyway.
