Unknown publisher

Postby devdept » Wed Apr 18, 2007 2:22 pm

Hi All,

We want to see our company name when dowloading and running the setup executable from our website and are completely new to the subject.

What exactly have we to buy? Will a Software Publisher Certificate be enough for IA to sign the setup executable?

Have it to be with password or without?

Can you provide us a link to a certificate reseller that sells exaclty what IA needs?

Thanks so much,

Alberto

Sounds like you want to authenticode sign your setups - you can get these from Verisign, Thwate, Comodo, etc.

Hi neillans,

Do you mean:

http://www.instantssl.com/code-signing/ ... gning.html

https://www.thawte.com/process/retail/n ... ype=devel1

https://www.verisign.com/products-servi ... index.html

Prices range from $199 to $499 for one year, can we purchase the cheaper one form thawte?

Thank so much for your help!

Alberto
