I am at my wit's end trying to figure out how to correct this problem. My installers fail to install .net sdk 1.1 sp1 with the following error:
Error 1308: Source file not found: C:\\Documents and Settings\\All users\\Application Data\\{54AFDF9D-B866-4CB1-8F355-04BC3ABAB1CE}\\Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 with Service Pack 1\\mDotNet.dll\\Win\\Microsoft .Net\\Framework\\URTInstallPath\\System.Runtime.Serialization.Formatters.Soap.dll. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
Thanks for any help.

Are you getting this with the latest 6.5 build?

One possible reason/condition for this error is the following: since first discovering the error I have only been able to test it on machines where .NET 1.1 sp1 has been uninstalled, not where it was never installed.
BTW, I have tried building a whole new install in 6.5, and I still get the error.
The install exe and the web files are all at www.smash-software.com/podlift0.4.6.4/ (you can list this directory) if you can and are willing to test the install directly to see if you get the error on a .NET free system.
Thanks much for your help.

Is this problem really unique to me?
Web install of .net 1.1 sp1 fails, at least on systems where .net has been uninstalled.
I have tried updating to 6.5, I have tried building a whole new install from scratch, I have tried building the .net web file on a different machine . . .
What else can I try? Or is this a special case when .net has been uninstalled that it doens't work?

OK, weirdness.
I built the .net web file on a different machine using a different setup and it works. I have substituted that copy of the web file in the the install I am having trouble with and that works too. For now I can live with this work around, but I have no idea what this means in terms of what is wrong.
Is my installation of IA corrupt and remained so when I updated to 6.5? Any suggestions?
