Access violation during build

Postby MortSkil » Wed May 23, 2007 9:40 am

I am creating a small and simple setup project. The build process bombs out with the message
Error during build: Access violation at address 004E6D7D in module 'miae.exe'. Read of address 00000010

Any idea what might be wrong?

I've run across the same problem after a couple of failed build attempts on a large project. It seems the files stay open/locked and the only way to get the build to work is reboot. Most of the time I have just been impatient and used the task manager to kill IA. That's when it will happen almost always.

If you try deleting the files in the build folder and you get a file in use error that is definately the case. The other way to get around it is select a different output folder.

Does this have anything to do with plug-in development? Please post in the appropriate forums - this belongs in technical support.
