Copy project folder to create similar installation.

Is there any cleanup I would have to do when copying 1 project to create a new one.
I have updated product GUIDS etc but I have very strange behaviour occuring with prereqs where the $PRELIST$ variable keeps displaying multiples of the same string. Even when stepping over this code in the debugger it displays something completely different to what I see in the code view - i.e in the code I'm stepping over it will be setting the $PRELIST$ var to "$PRELIST$$NEWLINE$Shared Add-in Extensibility Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (KB908002)"
Yet a watch on the $PRELIST$ var displays some other string from another prereq altogethor...

Any ideas...
