Manual uninstallation, what to remove?

If I want to manually uninstall an installaware project, apart from the actual installed files what do I need to remove to get the computer "clean" again?

When I have removed what I think is everything and start the install again, the installprogram still belives the project is installed and remembers installdirs and other variables. I guess its something still in the registry, but I dont know what and where.
