Hi,
I am using the InstallAware studio admin 18 and I made a msi for my product. When I run the msi, I had the fiddler open and I saw the msi hits www.installaware.com. Not just on the install, everytime the application runs it hits your website. Is this normal ? How can I prevent that from happening ?
I had the update mechanism in place where it checks the update.ini file every time the shortcut is clicked for new updates. Is that the reason ?
Thanks
On every run hits the Installaware Website.

Dear Nik,
for what you are reporting it seems that your product has been not activated and still using it as trial.
Did you use a correct personal license file to activate your product?

Yes I used a license file to activate the product. While it was on trial it used to show the pop up box every time the program ran, now it do not show any pop up. So, I think its activated I ran the license file again. But still doing the same thing.
Thanks

Dear Nik,
as I said before, did you use a correct personal license file to activate the product?
Each InstallAware version (including updates) requires a specific personal license file to activate the product.
Using different versions of license installers and trial version can wreak havoc with the IDE and the setup engine. Out-of-sync versions will cause a lot of random issues with your setups purely due to engine/compiler/script version mismatches and cannot be supported by technical support.

Re: On every run hits the Installaware Website.
Yes I did use the correct personal license file.
I just upgraded the Installaware from 18 to X2 and went to my account generated a new license file, ran that license exe file. But that hitting InstallAware website did not go.
I created a shortcut without $UNISTALLLINK$ that works fine. But with $UNISTALLLINK$ and command line parameter /update hits InstallAware site.
Thanks

Dear Nik,
if you send to me your license file, I'll verify if there is anything wrong with it.
