How does IA detect .NET Framework

Postby steveosmith » Thu Aug 24, 2006 10:54 am

I've included the .NET Framework, V1.1, sp1 in my IA V5 setup. I've one XP Pro computer that keeps showing that as a pre-requisite. It goes through the .NET setup (very quickly) and shows the reboot prompt. After rebooting, it still shows as a prerequisite. I'm stuck in a loop. I've manually installed the framework from microsoft.com and IA still shows it as a prerequisite and prompts for reboot.

So my question is, how does IA detect whether or not the .NET Framework is installed? I'm thinking I may have to tweak something on this machine in order to get it to play nice.

Thanks in advance,
Steve.

This is a bug in an old IA 5.x version. Please search the forum for the solution, or upgrade to the lastest version of 6.x
