Compile Error

Postby jimo » Fri Aug 19, 2005 11:04 am

When I strart the build process I receive the following:

"Statements othe than DISPLAY DIALOG not allowed inside WIZARD LOOP"

The statement that is highlighted was put there by InstallAware.

[compiler if Variable BUILDMODE not Equals PATCH]

OK, so I comment that out to get it to build then I get:

Storing support files: blue.avi (0%)
Storing support files: licensecheck.dfm.miaf (22%)
Storing support files: registrationwithserial.dfm (52%)
Error during build: Unable to build runtime files:

For the first error you are getting, please upgrade to the latest version of InstallAware.

For the second error, lower your compression ratio, or make sure at least 512 MB memory is available for compression.

I downloaded the eval copy on the 12th of August. Is there more recent?

I am compiling/building on a Dell Precision 450 with 2gb Ram and Dual Xeon processors. I have also lowered my compression ration to "Fair".

Thanks for sending the project. It seems you did not have enough Compiler Variable End statements in your script. However, InstallAware was mis-reporting the problem as you noticed. This issue has been resolved.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
