Project File to Save

Postby Superfreak3 » Fri Apr 13, 2007 9:11 am

Since I'm working through rebuilding our current Wise installation templates in InstallAware, I would like to know what file(s) I should back up in case we want to purchase InstallAware. I don't want to have to rebuild what I've already done.

In Wise its a .wsi file, in InstallShield its an .ism file. Or, do I need to backup the entire MyDocuments\\MyApp folder since it looks as though my new dialogs are in there, etc.

Let me know!

THANKS AS ALWAYS!!

Simplest thing to do is to make an exact copy of your project directory :)

More specifically you will want:

- MPR / MIA files - these are your scripts
- DFM.MIA and DFM - especially if you have modified any dialogs.

Thanks! I'll just take the entire project folder, that's no problem!
