Code Sign Vendor

Postby swarovski » Wed May 09, 2007 8:16 am

Hi All,

I am seeking a code sign vendor for the installer that built from InstallAware.

After searching IA forum, i found 3:
VeriSign
thawte
COMODO

I want to know which one you will suggest?
The choosing factor would be:
- fully compatible with IA (i am using IA 6.6 now)
- price (first time + renewal)
- popularity
- easy to apply
- support

The "fully compatible" i mean is that the key files, cert. etc provided by the code sign vendor can be directly read by IA.

Like the attached screen.
As I want to use the IA Code Sign tool to sign my setup package.

At InstallAware we use Comodo. Their certificates do not cost a fortune ;) But certificates from any vendor should work just fine, as long as you generate digital code signing certificates in spc and pvk pairs.

Any other users have suggestions?

I am looking more details on Comodo too. It seems that it is cheaper relatively and the web site is easy to do the registration.

Find one more:

Price is cheaper relatively. And also there's lots of guides in PDF really good and clear for beginners.
