Auto Launch Application

I am trying to get internet explorer to automatically launch my application if they download a file from a website like PDF, Word document etc

I tried configuring it on my machine then importing the type into the file association but internet explorer dosn't recognise it but the file system does.

I already have done the registry entry for the Confirm on Open and this does work as IE once told what the program is does always auto open.

Does anyone know what else am I supposed to be configuring?

Not sure if this is what you are asking for, but you should try the Create File Type command, or the File Associations design view.
