Error code 2716?

Hi,

When trying to uninstall, repair or modify and installation made with IA Express I get a message that says "... serious error... error code is 2716".

What can i do to successfully uninstall that application? Has anyone seen this error code before?

Hello,

After trying to uninstall the product using the msizap utility (msicuu2.exe as linked from http://forums.installaware.com/viewtopic.php?t=1000) the product is now not listed in msizap, but listed on add/remove programs and now gives a 2755 error when trying to uninstall.

The machine in question is a testing machine where we run deployments, updates etc. I note that the article linked above says that updates reinstalls etc can 'confuse' msi. Is there some way of recovering from this short of formatting said machine?
