Hello,
When I build my install app from within the IDE it takes roughly 3 minutes with full compression enabled. When I build the same project with the exact same parameters using miabuild.exe from the command line it takes roughly 10 minutes. Just watching the progress window during a build in the IDE compared to the console output when building from the command line, you can tell the command line build is running much slower.
Has anyone else noticed this behavior? Is this something I should expect from a command line build?
Command Line Build much slower than IDE Build

I've just started using the command line build and my experience is the opposite.
I've setup a command inside VS which builds my app, calls a command line obfuscator, then builds the IA installer and not only does it save a lot of mucking about, the IA build does seem quicker. Maybe that's just perception though.

Hi Ira,
Thanks for the response however I'm talking about the actual build time difference between selecting "Build" from the IDE and typing in the command line into a console window. Both builds are generating the same installer application that functions correctly however the one built from the command line is taking over twice as long to finish.
