Visual C++ 8.0 Runtime

Has anyone included this in an install and received an error when trying to use the install on Vista. I get an error saying cannot be installed - please use Windows Update...works just fine with XP.

Did you run the installer as an admin?

For some reason, the newer versions of IA do not elevate their privileges in a useful way, which makes a lot of installs do things like this.

well - the installer is admin - hopefully those rights extend to the other required installers. Problem is - installed just fine on one Vista machine and didn't on another.

Would one happen to be 32-bit and the other be 64-bit by any chance?
