I have a similar problem to other posts where I need to assign the product version using miabuild.exe and adding a compiler variable to the command-line. However, I'm using InstallAware Developer 7 and when I go to the Project Options window to attempt to create the compiler variable, I get the message that "Compiler variables are only available for InstallAware Studio and above"

Am I missing something....or is there another way to perform this operation using the Developer version?

As per the error message you need to purchase InstallAware Studio to obtain the functionality you require.

That is right, As you can see at http://www.installaware.com/right-edition.htm under Design Features --> Compiler Directives; this is only available in Studio and Studio Admin Editions
