Setup keeps detecting that .NET 1.1 SP1 is required.

Hi

I am having a problem with a setup I have created. On some Windows 98 and XP pcs it says that .NET framework SP1 is required even though it is installed. If you follow through it looks like it is installing and then needs a reboot. On reboot the installer says yet again .NET framework SP1 is required! and you keep going round the same loop over and over again.

I have done a test on one XP pc and uninstalled .NET framework, after the setup has 'installed' .NET framework and rebooted, again it still wants to install it again, however it has not installed the .NET framework

Building a test version seems to show an error occurs, however as there is no actual feed back with in InstallAware I dont know what the error is.

Help please! (running version sp1.passion_update2_rtm.050927)

Did you do the update on the plugin package?
Please search the forum, there is an update for the plugin package, which does a fix on this problem.

Yes, done it got the tee shirt etc

This problem ONLY happens on a FEW pc's at the moment

Any other USEFULL help?

Hi Adrian,

Sinan already got this fixed for me. Go into the .mia file which contains your script with Notepad and change any lines with MSXML 4.0 SP2 to MSXML, then save the file. The new version of the plug-in has been renamed.

That should sort it.
