SQL Server ODBC will not install on 64bit machines
I am trying to install some ODBCs on a 64bit windows 7 and cannot get them to work. I am using a 64bit installer as well as the correct ODBCs but they never seem to get added. I was wondering if anybody else had this same issue or not?

How are you trying to install them?

Re: SQL Server ODBC will not install on 64bit machines
You code suggests you're trying to install the native client..
Are you trying to install native client or ODBC. If ODBC, shouldn't you be installing MDAC?

Re: SQL Server ODBC will not install on 64bit machines
We are installing ODBCs that use the native client. For the 32bit installer we have always included the driver for the native client as well as the ODBCs. Our install sets do not include the MDAC as it is not needed a a prereq to install the SQL Server 2005 Sp3 x64 version supplied by installaware. Also our 64bit install will only be used for Windows 7 machine and up.

Re: SQL Server ODBC will not install on 64bit machines
I removed the code to install the ODBC driver and it is still not working. Something that I noticed as I am running installaware 9 on a Windows 7 64bit it is not able to see the ODBCs that I have created on my system like it used to be able to. I am wondering if maybe installaware 9 is not able to access the ODBC correctly inorder to be able to create them in a 64bit environment.
