Just updated to the newest version of Installaware and suddenly the relative paths in Install Files doesn't work. I am getting
Error during build: No files matching pattern "..\ClientInstall\Release\Single\clientinstall.exe"
tried to prefix with $PROJDIR$ but does not appear to work either:
Error during build: No files matching pattern "$PROJDIR$\..\ClientInstall\Release\Single\clientinstall.exe"
Any ideas?
Stephan

No it's in the same location. All I did was upgrade to the latest version.
Re: Relative Path in Install Files
Hi,
Please use absolute paths instead - are you able to do so?

Hello,
What happened to "relative path" feature? AFAIR it was introduced in ver. 10. Did you decide to remove this feature or it's just a bug?

Re: Relative Path in Install Files
Hi,
The feature was not removed and is still usable. The above error was probably caused due to misuse of the feature.

Does it also work for INI files? I want to install ini file on target computer. So I added the file to "Setup Architecture|Files", then imported existing ini file in "INI files". Got rid of irrelevant entries. Initially "Ini file path" contained $BOOTPATH$ variable. But then I was unable to install the app on test computer. I received an error with BOOTPATH message. Something like:
Could not access network location $BOOTPATH"
So I decided to replace $BOOTPATH$ with #PROJDIR#\..\..\bin Also didn't work. Finally changed to \..\..\bin, didn't work either. The error is
Could not access network location \..\..\bin

Would you mind telling me how to avoid the misuse? I am following the documentation there.

I'm not sure - I would have to get more details for you, it's just that it worked fine for me when I tested it out..
