Unable to build web media block

Postby BCIJPA3 » Tue Mar 07, 2006 10:41 am

I'm attempting to build an installer for the first time since January and am getting an error "Error during build: Unable to build web media block: operation cancelled". This is occurring on setups that worked as far back as last August. I get the same error on every build I attempt. Please provide guidance.

Hi!

This was a bug with InstallAware 2005 (4.0). It has already been resolved in the latest shipping version (5.2). I would strongly recommend that you upgrade to the latest version, so as to take advantage of the latest improvements to the IDE.

A workaround for your version is also available. You must have at least 512 MB physical RAM available, and if your system is hyperthreading or multi-core or dual processor enabled, then in the Task Manager set the Affinity of the InstallAware IDE process to a single CPU only (right-click process name and choose Affinity).

If you would rather upgrade, please contact me privately so I can arrange for an upgrade discount for you!
