Hello,
I have a IA setup with a Web Media Block to download DotNet Framework 4 from an URL.
Problem is:
in my company we have a proxy server and all users need to login with a user name and a password.
In the Internet Explorer settings we use an Automatic Proxy configuration URL like;
http://myweb/test/proxy.pac
I can not download the Web Media Block files if there is a proxy server which needs Login with user name and password.
It also does not work if I first open Internet Explorer, log into the proxy with my username and password and then try to install.
Is there any solution for that?
regards
Hans
Web Media Block Proxy Settings?
Re: Web Media Block Proxy Settings?
No idea or solution for that?
Re: Web Media Block Proxy Settings?
Hi Hans,
We have tried reproducing this with a local proxy server and had no such problems. Are you certain that your proxy is properly configured?

Re: Web Media Block Proxy Settings?
Hi,
yes I am sure that my proxy is correct.
If I use the URL and ../proxy.pac and open the IE I will be prompted for Proxy Login with User name and password.
Also if I fill in the Proxy TCP/IP address in the Internet Explorer settings I will be prompted for user name and password.
But I will never prompted when trying to download a Web Media Block
