Hi,
I am trying to test InstallAware, and have a problem with 'Setup Capture'.
InstallAware trial is installed on my computer and I tried 'Setup Capture' in a virtual machine, on which InstallAware is not installed (just copied 'Setup Capture' executable). I installed Mozilla Thunderbird as a test, ran the scan before and after, and all seemed to go well.
Now, the problem I have is that I would like to copy the generated project to the computer where InstallAware is installed and work on it from there, but the needed files (program files, ...) are not part of the project 'Setup Capture' generated. There are references to these files, but they don't get copied to the project. Is it the normal behavior? Anyway, should I copy all files from the virtual machine to be able to generate the msi package?
How is it supposed to work?

Yes, this is normal - the project file does not contain the captured files, but it references them.
There are several things you could try at that point - you can update paths using the Refactor Paths tool and point them to their real location, you can copy files to their expected location, you can install InstallAware to try a build on the capture machine, etc.
