Troubles with uninstalling

Hi!

We have troubles with uninstalling our products in some special scenarios:

1. Install using CD Setup
2. Modify options using Web Setup
3a. Uninstall using Control Panel / Add or Remove Programs
3b. Uninstall using CD Setup
3c. Uninstall using Web Setup

3a: Removes the program from the list of installed programs but does not uninstall the product.
3b: Same as 3a
3c: The installer crashes and uninstallation is not possible



Another scenario:

A. Install using Web Setup
B. Modify options using Web Setup
C1. Uninstall using Control Panel / Add or Remove Programs
C2. Uninstall using Web Setup

C1: Works.
C2: The installer crashes and uninstallation is not possible



Do you have any idea what is wrong here?

The only prohibited scenario is mixing build types. You should never do this. For instance, you should never install using a single file compressed setup, and maintain using a web based setup.

All other scenarios should work.

Thank you for your prompt answer.

The reason for the crashes in cases 3c and C2 seemed to be network troubles after restoring a snapshot in VMWare.
