Error Message during Install

Hello-- I've been using IA for about 18 months now and overall I am quite satisfied. As it stansd 2 of 3 major products are now using IA. I am using IA NX (9.3.12) and have started getting a strange error during install of both (either) program: "ERROR Source File Not Found. Verify that the File Exists and that you can Access it" then a path to the Program Data\[GUID] folder that holds the files to be installed. This happens exclusivly on laptops running Win 7 Home Premium 64. The strange thing is, users claim the program has disappeared and they are reinstalling when this happens. (Apparently, the program really is gone, we are looking into that.) Installing the previous version of either program is successfull, but updating is not. As far as I know, I have changed no code in the project, only a few files. Ideas?

Dear keith,

honestly, it is not easy to share with you a suggestion to figure out what seems to happen ... really strange anyway.
Expecially for the fact that your installed application seems to be ... magically uninstalled.

I suppose this happens with a particular machine only, am I right?

If true, possibly it can be caused by some strange behaviour of that particular OS.

Only 4 machines to date.

Do you have any clues as to the error itself?

Dear Keith,

I can suggest you to generate a log of the failing installation with that particular machines.

To execute a logged setup, use the following command line:

<setup.exe> /l=<path to logfile>

Then you can examine the contents of the log file to verify if any error is reported.
In addition, you could compare the log file with a log file generated from a successful installation (to verify if exist any difference).
