Hi,
I'm using IA 16.05.
- I found that "Write To Text File" clears the file if it is ANSI. When I try to add text to the start of the file, the rest of the file is gone. Does not happen with unicode.
- Also, an IA written BAT file will generate an invisible erroneous command at the beginning of the file. I bet it is because of BOM (Byte Order Mark). Which in that case is more of a Windows problem.
This is probably related to the Unicode INI-file problems that you can read about here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9580
Remember that there are different Unicode encodings out there. Notepad++ is a good tool to reveal them. Also, a HEX-editor will reveal the problematic Byte Order Mark.
p.s.
I have created workarounds to all my text-file problems, so not an issue for me anymore. Just reporting the possible bugs.
