Is it possible to install service to remote server?
Currently, I need an installer, which installs one service to a list of computers.
remote service install
I presume you "service" is a native service - ie. one with necessary Win32 hooks.
I don't believe IA will allow remote installs of services. You have a couple of options: create an MSI and deploy a single installer via Group Policy or run a batch file from within your installer that uses sc.exe to setup the remote service.
If you are on a Workgroup then you are going to have to synchronise an administrative user account. If you are on a domain then this shouldn't be too much of an issue. However, you are going to have to deploy the service EXE to each machine or run off a network drive.
