Themes and custom dialogs not working

I am running Studio and followed the instructions on creating a new theme. I added 3 custom dialogs from another project. I created a project and when I select the theme I created it only shows the original dialogs without the new ones.

i have tried creating new dialogs but wasnt entirely successful - the closest i came was changing the textboxes, labels, buttons etc on existing dialogs.

to some degree i think this is good because it ensures uniformity of the setup dialogs

try checking the New Themes-Dialogs section - you may find something...

My situation requires that I deploy a web application and run an executable that updates an existing SQL database with schema and data. I found the IIS template adequate but when I try to add SQL dialogs it will not display them.

I am almost at the point of going back to InstallShield

You can copy the dialog files to your project folder and add them directly to your project. After they are added to your project, you can modify them. Let me know if you need more instructions.
