Excluding folders and/files from uninstalling

I need to be able to exclude certain folders from being uninstalled on uninstall because they hold user settings.

These folders need to be created as part of the install because admin priviledges are required. However I do not want to lose them on uninstall because on reinstall all user settings would be lost.

Would appreciate any insight into solving this.

Try using call dll and "Move" the folder so it doesn't exist just before "Apply Uninstall"

Call DLL Function kernel32.dll->MoveFile (get result into variable LASTERROR)

The first pointer to string should be the folder as it exists
The second pointer to string is a temporary location

After "Apply uninstall" move it back.
