Generate Native Images doesn't work?!

Hello,

I'm trying to create a native image to my .NET applicaton, and it doesn't seem to work. Right after Install Files last line i added "Generate Native Images for assembly $TARGETDIR$\\application.exe", IA doesn't create the image. If i run a CMD by ngen install application.exe works fine.

Using: IA 6.6 and .NET Framework 2.0

Please close this post, i found the solution: this action MUST be after Apply Install. (Maybe if the Help stated that i wouldn't lost half of this day!!!) THX anyway!

It doesn't work properly - try an uninstall. You will see the GAC is never cleared out. In v7 there is a "Remove Unpinned Assemblies" option - but that doesn't appear to work either.

I've written my own batch scripts to ngen our app and purge the GAC on upgrades and uninstall.

If someone can enlighten me on how this is supposed to work then I will be forever in your debt

I did the same thing! The Images are not even complete, so i stoped using this feature.
